A flagship initiative by Standard Chartered Bank Ghana PLC (SCB Ghana) and executed by Ghana Climate Innovation Centre (GCIC) to empower women-led tech businesses through training, mentorship, and funding. The program over the next 3 years will support overlooked and systemically under-resourced women to overcome financial, social, and cultural barriers, enabling them to grow their businesses and deliver meaningful impact for their communities.

The program is executed by the Ghana Climate Innovation Centre (GCIC)—an institute of Ashesi University—and sponsored by Standard Chartered Women in Tech (SC WIT).

After a pitch, Five (5) finalists will each receive a grant of $10,000 (GHS equivalent) to scale their ventures. This has been reduced from six in previous cohorts to increase individual grant amounts.

Ghanaian women who:

  • Run a Ghana-based businesses or have at least 50% ownership stake in the businesss
  • Less than $100,000 in annual revenue.
  • One woman founder aged 18–35.
  • Tech-based or tech-enabled businesses. Less than 10 employees that are profit-making and tackle a specific, social, economic or environmental issue aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
  • Own ≥50% of a registered business operational for 12+ months
  • Leverage technology/innovation in their product/service
  • Demonstrate social, economic, or environmental impact (aligned with SDGs)
  • Commit to full participation in the incubation process

Yes. Preference is given to:

  • Women living with disabilities
  • Founders from underserved regions (Upper East, Upper West, Northeast, Savannah, Central)
  • Business development: Mini MBA programme by GCIC, masterclasses
  • Mentorship: 1:1 advisory with portfolio managers
  • Networking: Access to industry leaders and alumni
  • Funding: Grant of $10,000 in its cedi equivalent to the top 5 finalists
  • Support services: Legal, accounting, financial planning, and tech deployment guidance

A rigorous incubation period culminating in a pitch and demo day (exact timeline to be confirmed upon selection).
